Filanda N.18
At Filanda n.18 we explore the narratives woven into textile crafts. Each collection is centred around a textile tradition and infused with inspiration from modern art, architecture and personal stories.
Filanda comes from filo or “thread” in Italian. Filande were spinning mills active between the 18th and 20th century in northern Italy. N. 18 is our founder Francesca’s family house number in Veneto, Italy. Part of the house used to be a Filanda and now it’s where our studio is based.
